About

This blog is to encourage those that declare themselves to be followers of Jesus Christ to live like it.

There are many in today’s American culture to say they are a Christian, but don’t seem to understand what Jesus taught or even what the Bible says.  Even with genuine Christians, the culture has made its mark on the Church, pulling them away from the truths in God’s Word into cultural and worldly philosophies and thinking.  My hope is to battle some of the issues that face the Church and those stuck in the rut of Churchianity.

This blog is not to make myself look “right”.  I am not right, but God is.  It is what HE says that matters.

At the end of every post, I try to remember to point to what really matters by saying that “Jesus said to follow Him”.  We are not told to follow pastors, bishops, evangelists, your parents, the Reformers, the Puritans, Calvinists, Augustine, or any other thing or person.  We are called to follow Christ.  No matter what may come up in life or in our culture, we need to judge it according to what God says in the Bible.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my blog.  Do not hesitate to comment even if you disagree.  I am not right.  You are not right.  It is God who is right.

Just wanted to come over and say hi. I like your blog title. Also, I realize this will probably be deleted as you don’t have your blog set up yet, but thanks for the comments on my blog. Now what will you write about? 😉
